CALICO PRO Unresponsive After Firmware Update

The CALICO Pro may appear to be unresponsive after a firmware update when performing large jumps in in firmware or when downgrading to a previous version. This is seen when the settings are backed up and restored during the update process and the newly installed firmware does not support some of the settings in the backup due to API changes. This will cause the system to take time to parse the incompatible data until it fully boots. This can take a considerable amount of time and will no longer happen if the settings are saved once the system boots completely.

This may be avoided by backing up the settings in CALICO Studio to an offline file prior to updating the firmware. When updating the firmware, leave the back and restore options unselected. Once the firmware has been completed, load the settings onto the device by loading the configuration file into the version of CALICO Studio compatible with the installed firmware release and sending it to the device.  CALICO Studio. Save the settings onto the device by selecting the Set Device Startup option.
